Built for how you actually work.

Fixed fees, fast screening, deliverables that fit your filing. Here is exactly how an engagement runs, what to send, and how we keep it defensible.

Free screening and conflict check

Send the case and the question you need answered. We run a conflict check and a free 15-minute screening, at no cost and no obligation.

Scope and fixed fee

If we can add value, we scope the work and quote a fixed, transparent fee based on record volume and deliverable. You approve before we start.

The work

Chronology, causation analysis, report, opposing-expert critique, or expert coordination, delivered to your timeline.

Support through resolution

Follow-up questions, deposition and trial preparation, and coordination with a testifying expert where your jurisdiction requires one.

The more complete the record, the sharper the read. Useful materials include:

  • Medical records, imaging, and lab results (any format, any language).
  • The complaint or claim, and the specific medical question you need answered.
  • Any existing expert reports, including the opposing side's.
  • Your deadline, so we can tell you honestly whether we can meet it.

If all you have is a stack of records and a question, that is enough to start. We will tell you what else would help.

Fees

The initial screening and conflict check are free. After that, most work is scoped at a fixed, transparent fee tied to record volume and the deliverable, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

Turnaround

Timelines depend on volume, but a disciplined, modern review process lets us move on litigation deadlines rather than against them. Tell us the date up front.

Confidentiality

We run a conflict check before reviewing anything, and engagements are confidential. We work for plaintiff and defense, and the methodology is identical regardless of who retains us.

Opinions built to withstand challenge.

Every analysis follows a stated, reproducible methodology: defined questions, complete record review, the relevant peer-reviewed literature, and conclusions traceable to their sources. Impartiality is the discipline, the same standard whether the engagement is consulting or supporting testimony. The goal is not a louder opinion. It is an opinion the other side cannot take apart.

Are you a licensed U.S. physician?

Dr. Junqueira is a physician board-certified in Legal Medicine and Medical Expertise, trained and licensed in Brazil, with a Master in Law in Health Law from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. He is not a U.S.-licensed physician and is not an attorney. PericialMed USA engages as a medical-legal consulting expert: record review, causation and damages analysis, opposing-expert critique, and case strategy. Where a case calls for a testifying expert licensed in your jurisdiction, we identify, vet, and brief that specialist and build the medical foundation their opinion rests on.

What does an engagement cost?

The initial screening and conflict check are free. After that, most work is scoped at a fixed, transparent fee based on record volume and deliverable. You will know the cost before we start.

How fast can you turn a case around?

It depends on volume, but our streamlined workflow lets us move on litigation timelines. Tell us your deadline up front and we will tell you honestly whether we can meet it.

Do you work for plaintiff or defense?

Both. Impartiality is the point. The methodology is identical regardless of who retains us, which is exactly what makes the opinion credible.

What kinds of records can you review?

Records in any language. We handle U.S. records and foreign-language records and foreign healthcare-system documentation, so the language of the chart is never the obstacle.

Will this be confidential and conflict-checked?

Yes. We run a conflict check before reviewing anything, and engagements are confidential.
