We work with U.S. and international law firms, insurers, healthcare systems, digital-health start-ups, and government agencies that need clear, evidence-based opinions at the intersection of medicine, technology, and law.
Yes—for most medico-legal issues such as causation, damages, or technical strategy.
Dr Junqueira is a board-certified physician in Brazil and a Master-in-Law candidate in the United States. He does not diagnose or treat patients on U.S. soil, but U.S. rules of evidence allow international physicians to testify on matters that rely on medical knowledge rather than on the practice of medicine itself.
Standard-of-care testimony: a handful of states require the expert to hold an active in-state medical license when the question is whether a U.S. clinician met the local standard of care. In those jurisdictions we can recommend a licensed co-expert or limit our role to behind-the-scenes consulting.
All other testimony (causation, damages, regulatory compliance): Dr Junqueira routinely provides reports designed to satisfy Daubert/Frye, complete with methodology, peer-reviewed citations, and transparent data-pipeline disclosures.
All uploads flow through an encrypted portal. Data are stored on U.S. servers with role-based access, and multi-factor authentication.
Executive summaries and triaged record reviews ship within 5 business days (rush options: 48 h and 24 h). Full IME or expert-witness packages average 10–14 days once records are complete.
Most projects are flat-fee, quoted up front after a quick scoping call—no surprise hours. Ongoing advisory or testimony is billed at an hourly expert-witness rate with clear caps.
Absolutely. We provide consulting nationwide, appear remotely or in person for depositions and trials, and handle cross-border cases involving Brazil, Denmark, and other jurisdictions.
Our NLP tools flag, they don’t decide. Every output is audited by a board-certified physician and cross-checked against source documents. Transparent logs show exactly how each datum entered the analysis.
Absolutely. Tell our team what you need and we’ll arrange a complimentary 20-minute discovery call with Dr Junqueira himself. You’ll have a chance to outline your case, ask questions about scope, timeline, and fees, and confirm that we’re the right fit before you commit.
If we sign an expert-witness retainer, Dr Junqueira will prepare deposition/trial testimony, courtroom exhibits, and mock-cross sessions as needed.
In-house teams excel at day-to-day care. We specialize in translating complex medical data into litigation-ready evidence, and quantifying damages—skills most internal staffs simply don’t have time to master.
